And if you want the mount that carries a vendor or the mount that carries out passenger in the lich king, you should save up BIG TIME. Prices for lvl 70 items are INSANE. Fortuatly, there are a lot of daily quests at 70 that pay rather well.. but your still gonna have to keep at em if you dont wanna end up broke. YES!

There are a lot of items that you can have crafted for you by enchanters/mages, and at that level, they cost a LOT of gold. If you're not interested in those types of things and just want the good items that you can pick up/win in the arenas and battlegrounds, then you're correct, you don't really NEED the gold (although who knows what will be available when WOTLK is released). Thats a great time to help out the less fortunately members of your guild who could use a little infusion of cash. Absolutely.
